I refuse to snack on raw celery, and I absolutely hate wasting it. But ever since I started making this, I actually enjoy buying celery! It’s a quick and delicious veggie snack. I used Za’atar, but you can easily swap it for any spice that complements your meal—try thyme, oregano, rosemary, or cumin!

Ingredients

  • 3 sticks Celery
  • 5 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 150ml chicken stock (water or veg stock)
  • ½ tsp za’atar
  • ½ lemon

Step 1

Rinse the celery thoroughly and chop it into rough pieces.

Step 2

Melt the butter in a pan along with the oil to prevent it from burning.

Step 3

Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

Step 4

Add the celery, Za’atar, and chicken stock. Cover and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 5

Add a splash of lemon juice and a pinch of salt to finish.
