Green chutney, also known as Hari Chutney, is a vibrant and zesty condiment that originates from the Indian subcontinent. Made with fresh herbs, this chutney is packed with bold flavours—herby, tangy, and slightly spicy—making it a versatile accompaniment for snacks, grilled foods, and chaats. Its bright green colour and refreshing taste make it an essential element in many Indian dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 large bunch coriander
  • 1/2 bunch mint
  • 2-inch piece ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala or cumin seeds
  • 2 green chilli
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 100g yoghurt
  • salt to taste

Step 1

Blend the mixture, gradually adding water until you achieve your desired consistency.
