These Honey Butter Feta Triangles are the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, offering a delicious twist on traditional pastry snacks. The rich, creamy feta blends beautifully with the sweet honey butter, creating a mouthwatering filling inside a flaky, golden pastry.

Ingredients

  • 200g Roasted Peppers - Jarred
  • 100g Sun-Dried Tomatoes - Jarred
  • 25g Nuts, (I Used Walnuts)
  • 25g Breadcrumbs
  • ½ Tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 1 Tsp Cumin Ground
  • ½ Lemon
  • 50g Feta, Crumbled
  • 50g Cheddar, Cubed
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 Tsp Chilli Flakes
  • ½ Tsp Salt
  • 10 Sheets Filo

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Step 2

Blend the peppers, tomatoes, nuts, chili flakes, cumin, and lemon together to create a chunky paste.

Step 3

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the breadcrumbs and cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4

Place a sheet of filo on a surface and brush it generously with vegetable oil. Add two more layers of filo, brushing oil between each layer.

Step 5

Slice the filo into three strips, then place 1 tablespoon of filling at the end of each strip.

Step 6

Fold one corner of the filo to form a triangle, then continue folding the triangle over itself until the entire piece of filo is used up. Repeat the process with the remaining filo to create more triangles.

Step 7

Brush the triangles with more oil and place them on a wire rack or a lined baking tray. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Step 8

In the meantime, melt the butter, honey, chili flakes, and salt in the microwave for 1 minute. Brush the hot honey butter over the triangles once they're out of the oven.
