I’ve been making this Masala Hot Chocolate for years, and it’s one of my absolute favorites. The rich, creamy chocolate blends perfectly with the bold spices, creating a warm and comforting drink that’s perfect for cozying up. A true indulgence that will quickly become a staple in your kitchen!

Ingredients

  • 4cm Piece Ginger
  • 5 Cardamon
  • ½ Tsp Black Pepper Corn
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 3 Teabags
  • 200ml Water
  • 600ml Milk
  • 100g Dark Chocolate, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 50g Sugar
  • ½ Tsp Salt

Step 1

Lightly crush the whole spices and combine them with the water and opened tea bags in a pan.

Step 2

Bring to a boil over high heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Then, add the milk and continue boiling for another 10 minutes.

Step 3

Strain the tea, discarding the spices and tea leaves, and return the liquid to the hob.

Step 4

Stir in the dark chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, whisking constantly until the chocolate has completely melted.

Step 5

Taste the hot chocolate and adjust the sweetness to your preference, then pour it into your favorite mug and enjoy.
