Satisfy your cravings with this irresistible Sesame and Garlic Udon! The thick, chewy udon noodles are perfectly coated in a rich sesame sauce, infused with the bold flavours of garlic and a touch of heat. Whether you’re craving something quick and delicious or a dish to impress, this sesame and garlic udon is sure to hit the spot!

Ingredients

  • 100g Mince Chicken (any mince, sausage meat or crumbled tofu)
  • 1 Tsp Sichuan Powder (or 5 spice)
  • 1 Packet Udon
  • Spring onions and sesame seeds on top (optional)

Sauce

  • 2 Tsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Black Vinegar (or balsamic vinegar)
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Sesame Paste ( tahini)
  • 1 Tbsp Chilli Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, grated

Step 1

Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a jug and add enough water to reach a total of 200ml.

Step 2

In a hot pan, add the chicken mince and Sichuan powder. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the chicken becomes crispy.

Step 3

Add the sauce and udon noodles to the pan, cover with a lid, and let it cook for 3 minutes. Once the noodles have softened, toss them in the sauce to coat evenly.

Step 4

Serve the dish with spring onions and sesame seeds on top, then enjoy!
